I reject the term "settler artist" Settler, to me at this time, is a dirty word.
It is code for, at the very least, colonizer.
And, at worst, the following: - white supremacist, - racist, - land thief and ultimately, -muderer. Especially a murderer of children.
I reject these labels.
As for land acknowledgement, I am "damned if I do and damned if I dont" It is, at this time, not accepted as a sign of respect but is, evidently, just lip service by me, a white person, to make myself look good. So-no land acknowledgement from me at this time.
